Author: You or your companies security is probably high on your list in today’s every growing population. In society, identity theft has become normal and it threatens the health of companies and the public. With new technology comes new ways to protect yourself, these include fingerprint door locks, retina scan lock, and security ID bolts locked doors. These can be used to prevent security issues you might otherwise have.
The logical place to think of security risks at is probably your house, but your office or building is equally as important if not more important. At your place of business there are usually many random persons from the populace stopping in. These people might be clients, people interested, or possibly people interested in what they can steal from you. There is always a risk of someone just “scouting” your company.
The good news is, there are so many ways to keep your business safe that you can choose a couple and still have more to choose from in the future. It helps to have video cameras, metal detectors, and passwords entering rooms. The greatest and possibly most secure however is an employee ID card. This can be electronic or just a badge, but in either case it should include your name, company, possibly birth date, work title, and maybe some details such as height and weight.
Your company would have to either own the machines to fabricate these cards or have a company make them for you. Your card should be durable and not prone to fade or discolor, it should contain certain aspects only you or the company making them would know, and it should have a device that does not allow it to be copied. One way to do this is by using an ink that reflects the light of photo copying machines so when someone attempts to copy it turns up black. Some available kinds of cards can be as strong as a drivers license or more. UV holograms may be printed onto these cards making them even harder to duplicate.
