Getting The Most Out Of Today To Improve Your Personal Life
This moment today should be our only concern for living. We have no control over tomorrow or yesterday. Neither day matters but what does is this day and this day only. We cannot waste time dwelling on what happened yesterday or what might happen tomorrow. We are only going to get the most of our day by working to improve our personal life in the present day. One way to do is to set up time management plans or schedules for us to go by. We want to include our daily activities, work, and entertainment, relax time, family time and so on. When we set time plans, we are going to spend our time wisely. If we act on this, living in the now will dominate, instead of tomorrow or yesterday.
As we write our plans, we should consider how we will deal with the world around us as we go throughout the day. In other words, the way we handle situations that may baffle us. If we are going to improve our personal lives, we must adapt to a new way of dealing with those situations. If we are dwelling on distractions, we are wasting time. Instead, we can look at the situation as none of our business. If we have to work, practicing dealing with our fellow employees respectively will bring us respect in return. Some may refer to this as the Law of Attraction. Gossiping among one another will add any productiveness towards the improvement of our lives. When we learn to respect, work in order, and try to get along it makes everyone’s life better.
Each day we want to choose a couple of new strategies that helps you to improve your personal life. For instance, if you are into a daily routine of drinking only one glass of water daily, move to drink two glasses. If we have been eating Wendy’s famous baconater, lets work on ordering the grilled chicken instead. Building our health will also improve your personal life. If we have not exercised in a while, plan today to walk thirty minutes. Plan to practice walking each day. The more effort we put into building a positive life, the more we will get from our works. “Faith without works is dead” the bible tells us. It has proven true far too many times to ignore.
If we are attending school or working long hours, lets learn to manage our time as well. Overworking ourselves will lead us nowhere but to poor health. Taking time out for ourselves is just as important as taking time to help someone in need. During work hours and school time, we can learn to deal with the complex problems first, as well as deal with the boring items first to eliminate stress in our day. Once we get past the tough, we will get moving toward the simple. Here is when relief is found, even if we are studying hard or working long hours. Let’s stop putting off what we can do today. If we do it now and get it over with we will grow.
As we plan our day, set a time that is best for you. For instance, if you are a student or worker and do your best job in the early morning, work hard then and relax throughout the day.
Tips for relaxing and planning our day:
You can stretch in the morning when you arise, stretch in the afternoon, and stretch at night to relax your muscles. This also helps our blood to circulate more effectively.
Prayer and meditation in the morning to your higher power will help you grow spiritually and in return give you a more relaxed state.
Taking a walk in the woods helps me relax. During this time, I am able to tune my energy towards Mother Nature.
Once we learn how to relax, we can then move to find ways to reduce time wasted. For instance, at night you can lay out your clothes for the next day, preparation will lead to more time. Another helpful tip would be to write out a “to do” list. Some men may refer to this as a “honey to do this” list. What helps me are those colorful sticky notes. I will write down things I need or want to get done and cross them out as I complete them. When we clear up time wasted you will find more time for productivity.
Do you procrastinate?
If so, stop. Procrastination will only waste our time and create more stress in our life. Instead of putting it off, get it done now. If we have a bill that needs paid, pay it. Unanswered emails will cause us to feel overwhelmed if we wait to answer them until we have an in box full of unanswered emails. Practicing the “Touch only Once” principle we will be amazed at the free time we will accumulate if we implement this technique.
If we normally spend long hours on the phone, we should practice placing a time limit we are on the phone. If not we are only forming a habit that will lead us straight back to procrastination, wasting time, and putting things off. Forget the phone. Set a time limit per phone call you take, or make.
Saying no is a great way to improve your personal life. Saying no is a positive attitude that takes you to success. If you say yes to each person that consumes your time, you will waste valuable time that guides us nowhere. It is OK to say no sometimes. We do not have to do everything people ask us to do.
There are some ways to improve our personal life. These suggestions will be of no help if we do not at least try them. They will work if we work for them.
Some people make things happen..
Some people watch things happen…
Some people ask, “what happened?”
