A good packing strategy is to bring two lightweight suitcases, a large one and a small one. You should pack your supplies for the end of your day in the smaller suitcase. Things such as robes, pajamas, a compact pair of slippers, cosmetic preparations and oral care supplies. When you need more cash you can easily exchange a traveler’s check for more cash. Carrying a credit card would also be a good idea. Take one that is recognized all over the world, and leave the others behind.

Keep a few tips in mind to make you safer while you take in the sites. Never hang your pocket book from a single shoulder strap. Wear the strap across your body or hold the bag under one arm, and of course, don’t keep your wallet in your back pocket.

It’s also advisable to put elastic bands around your wallet. If you use rubber bands on your wallet, it won’t be as slippery and more difficult to remove from your pocket without you knowing about it. You should never travel with expensive jewelry or anything that cannot be replaced if stolen. Keep things that are essential, like a change of clothes, in the bag you carry on.

Other bonus items that could help you in a pinch are a traveler’s clothesline and pins, inflatable hangers or other tools to help you wash or dry items at night. Consider bringing along hand wash laundry detergent as well as travel sizes of regular detergent in case the hotel has a laundry room.

Bring along some mailing labels printed with your home address. You can use these to easily mail purchases back to yourself. Then, all you have to do is give one to the sales clerk who will stick it to your package once it’s wrapped. They also come in handy if you plan to send anyone post cards while you are traveling.

Keep your sales slips organized by bringing an envelope inside of your handbag. You’ll be able to move through customs a lot faster this way. Packing items separately in various plastic bags can create an effective system of organization for packing; simply place lingerie in one, shoes in another, etc.

Make sure to bring suntan lotion on your trip – they may not sell your brand and what they do sell will be expensive! To make sure there will be no breakage, carry lotions, cold cream, shampoo, and deodorant in plastic bottles or jars.

Finally, take only clothes that don’t wrinkle and are drip-dry. You don’t want to waste time on vacation with washing and ironing. Remember that you don’t have to try and do everything. You want to have an exciting trip, but you also should have time to relax – you aren’t required to be on the move for the entire time you’re gone.
